On March 22, a seven-day "Fall in Love with Xixi Wetland in Half an Hour" Shanghai flash promotion event was officially launched at the Hunzhi Bookstore in the Shanghai Tower, guided by the Hangzhou Xixi National Wetland Park Administration and hosted by Hangzhou Xixi Wetland Operation Management Co., Ltd.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its opening, Hangzhou Xixi National Wetland Park has made more Shanghai citizens and tourists aware of Xixi Wetland through the 20th Anniversary Excellent Photography Exhibition, the Excellent Works Exhibition of Zhejiang Province Primary and Secondary School Students' Nature Notes Competition (2018-2024), the Half-Hour Fall in Love with Xixi Wetland Stamp Collection and Check-in Event, NPC Interaction and other forms, showing the cultural heritage and ecological management wisdom of China's first national wetland park to the international city of Shanghai. It is worth mentioning that Xixi Wetland has long become a paradise for birds. The wetland bird population has increased from 79 species before the opening of the park to 224 species today. The images recorded by bird lovers following the "non-interference principle", including the "Black-crowned Falcon", a national second-level key protected wild animal, are the best testimony.
Reporters learned that the two new works "Half an Hour to Fall in Love with Xixi Wetland" and "Half an Hour Comic Water Margin" completed by the Hunzhi team based on the in-depth exploration of the ecological and cultural resources of Xixi Wetland will be officially unveiled at the opening ceremony of the "Flower Festival Hangzhou" Spring Tour and Xixi Flower Festival series of activities held in Hangzhou on March 24. That afternoon, "Brother Hunzi" will also hold a new book signing event at the Hangzhou Xixi Water Margin Cultural Exhibition Hall in Xixi Wetland, allowing the lingering fragrance of books to blend into the rich fragrance of flowers during the Flower Festival, adding a touch of intoxicating beauty to this spring event. This flash mob event, which lasts until March 28, not only showcases the ecological value of Xixi Wetland as the "kidney of the city", but also highlights its unique charm as a "cultural chip" that tells the story of China's ecological civilization, and composes an era chapter of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
On March 24, the Song Dynasty’s “Twelve Flower Gods” will make their debut on site, with the natural landscape of Xixi Wetland and water and land transportation as the natural showground for the parade. In the next two months, the "Twelve Flower Gods" will successively appear in the five major cultural and tourism landmarks of Guozhuang, Cherry Blossom Runway, Xianghu Lake, Tongjian Lake, and Gaoting Mountain. Through interactive performances and folk experiences, they will spread the spirit of spring to every corner of Hangzhou and meet tourists and friends.
